A small plug-in device that syncs your solar data to the cloud every 30 minutes — so you can check in from anywhere, not just at home.
Powered via USB — no tools, no wiring, no installer needed.
Open the Sunflower app, follow the one-screen setup, and you're live.
Full history, remote access, and 24/7 automated monitoring — even when you're away.
The app and the Bridge solve two different problems.
The app fetches live data from your solar system over your home Wi-Fi whenever you open it. A quick check every few days is enough to see your recent trends and know things are running as expected.
Best for: people who want a simple health check — is my system still producing normally? Occasional check-ins are plenty.
The Bridge logs a snapshot every 30 minutes, around the clock — building the dense history that makes real analysis possible. Production trends, seasonal comparisons, panel-level patterns over months: that's what continuous data unlocks.
Best for: people who want to understand their power usage and dig into how their system is actually performing — not just whether it's running.
No. The app works great on its own — it connects directly to your solar system over your home Wi-Fi and shows live data, panel detail, insights, and alerts. The Bridge is an optional add-on that adds remote access and always-on monitoring.
Yes. Subscriptions are managed entirely through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings — no hoops, no retention flows, no emails required.
Very simple. Plug the Bridge into any wall outlet (USB powered), open the Sunflower app, and follow the one-screen setup flow. Most people are up and running in under a minute — no tools, no wiring, no installer needed.
Yes. The app includes a 3-day free trial of Premium, managed through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) — no payment until the trial ends. After the trial, a subscription is needed to keep full access to history, insights, and alerts.
Sunflower supports SunPower / SunStrong systems with a PVS5 or PVS6 monitoring device. Not sure if your system is compatible? Download the free app and check — setup takes about a minute.
If automatic discovery fails, you can enter your PVS's local IP address manually in the app. To find it, open your router's app or admin console and look for the PVS in the connected devices list.
We also recommend setting a DHCP reservation (sometimes called a "static IP") so the address doesn't change. Here's how to do both in the most common router apps:
| Router brand | App | Find PVS IP | Set static IP (DHCP reservation) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon eero | eero | In the device list, find your PVS (look for a device named "PVS5", "PVS6", or similar) and tap it to see its IP | Settings → Advanced networking → Reservations & port forwarding |
| Google Nest | Google Home | Wi-Fi → Devices → find your PVS ("PVS5", "PVS6", or similar) and tap it to see its IP | Network settings → Advanced Networking → DHCP IP reservations (or tap "Pin" next to the IP) |
| TP-Link Archer / Deco | TP-Link Tether (Archer) or TP-Link Deco | Client list → find your PVS ("PVS5", "PVS6", or similar) and tap it to see its IP | Deco: Advanced → Address Reservation. Tether/Archer: IP visible in app, but DHCP reservation requires the web admin console. |
| ASUS | ASUS Router | Devices tab → find your PVS ("PVS5", "PVS6", or similar) and tap it to see its IP | Select device → Advanced Settings → IP Reservation / Bind |
